Our work is based on materials such as glass, metal and wood used either individually or combined.
Lampwork: This is a process where I melt glass rods and create handmade beads. This process means that each bead is unique. The beads are then annealed in a digitally controlled kiln to give them strength and durability. They are then cleaned to remove the bead release.
The fused glass items are cut, added together and fired in a kiln at temperatures of over 800 degrees when glass will melt and bond into a solid piece. This is followed by a cold working process adding definition and then a secondary process of reheating to 700 degrees.
Silver work: Items are made from precious metal clay which are fired in a kiln to become 99% silver and capable of being hallmarked. Other metals such as silver and copper sheet are also used
